Despite being up against two of her castmembers for the best comedy actress Emmy, Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer) said she's just going to have fun.

"The day we got nominated, all five of us said that it's just going to be a big party for us no matter what," ExtraTV.com. Reflecting back on the start of what's been a whirlwind role, she said: "The fact that it happened to me when I was 40, as opposed to 38 or 42, it makes it seem so much more dramatic." Hatcher also took the time to speak briefly about her new book. "I say that I'm writing a book so that I can read it, and remind myself how I'm actually supposed to be behave!"

Eva Longoria was the only one of the lead four housewives not to be nominated for an Emmy, but she recently got a pick-me-up from kind-hearted Hatcher. Hatcher told ET that after Longoria suffered a head injury on set, she sent her a unique gift. "I talked to [Eva] Friday and sent her a hard hat filled with Milky Ways and Snickers and whatever, she eats so much candy, this girl!".

Meanwhile, contactmusic.com claims that Hatcher spoke about her new love for Paris. "I've been there twice with men and never had a good experience," Hatcher allegedly said, although the site did not reveal its source. "But I recently went with my daughter. We had a woman with a PHD in art history take us around and talk about the buildings and art. It was the first time I felt the beauty and history of it. It was so romantic."
