In the run-up to its September 25 ABC premiere, the network has released brand new publicity photos of the cast.
Included in the batch of photos which have been published at Desperatefans.org is the first publicity shot of newcomer Alfre Woodard in her role of Betty Applewhite. As well as new shots for the rest of the cast, there's also a new group shot which features the ladies of Wisteria Lane on chairs on a big grassy area.
While her secrets may have been answered in the season one finale, Brenda Strong is set to continue her heavenly narration as Mary Alice Young. Along with the other castmembers she has a new publicity photo, and she also appears in the group shot. In a press release to announce season two, ABC promised she will continue her role of series narrator. "From her unique vantage point, Mary Alice sees more now than she ever did alive, and she's planning to share all the delicious secrets that hide behind every neighbor's closed door in this seemingly perfect American suburb."
Meanwhile the first episode name of season two has been listed at the IMDb. The second episode of the season will apparently be "You Could Drive a Person Crazy". It stars Deb Hiett as Woman #1 and 11-year old Ridge Canipe as Danny. The title indicates that the show will continue to name its episodes after Steven Sondheim songs, as it did in season one.
