By Antony January 31, 2006 - 5:42 PMDesperate Housewives is adding two new faces to its guest star ranks, and there's a rumor that the Applewhites will be gaining a family member.
Lee Tergesen, who starred in Oz as Toby Beecher, will appear in "several upcoming episodes" of Desperate Housewives according to LeeTergesen.com. Tergesen's other TV appearances include Homicide: Life on the Street, ER, Law & Order and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. His film appearances include both Wayne's World films, Shaft and the upcoming The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.
Gwendoline Yeo will join the guest cast as the Solises' new maid, according to her website. Her TV appearances include The O.C. and 24, and she has also done voiceover work for computer games. As well as being an actress, Yeo is a singer and musician and is a graduate from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
In other potential casting news, VIBE.com claimed that Miami-based rapper Trina will appear on the show as a long-lost daughter of Betty Applewhite. However there is no confirmation for this rumor, and her record label wouldn't comment. To date her credits are mostly music-orientaed, and her only acting credit seems to be for 2003 movie A Miami Tail.
Tergesen's website can be found here here and Yeo's website here. The Trina rumor report can be found over at VIBE.com. Discuss this news item at Talk Desperate!
