Felicity Huffman People Guide,
Mark Moses People Guide While attending recent events, castmembers of Desperate Housewives spoke about how things are changing in season two, but as usual were reluctant or unable to give anything too big away.
"What can I tell you?", said Felicity Huffman (Lynette Scavo) when asked by ET for season two spoilers. "I get to wear some better clothes. I get to wear some rockin' suits. And Tom gets to wear pajamas covered in jam, so I think it is a fair trade." Lynette's new role proves a challenge for Huffman as much as it does for her character. Huffman said Joely Fisher, who plays her new boss, has already made a mark. "I have to say she cleaned the stage with me as we say in the theater. She wiped me out of there. I said, 'Wow!'"
Another new face in Desperate Housewives is Alfre Woodard (Betty Applewhite). Huffman said of her: "I can't say anything except that she is a piano teacher—nudge, nudge, wink, wink—and we are really lucky to have her." Woodward meanwhile is shocked at what she's had to do so far. "Sometimes the things they ask me to do, my mouth hits the ground," she admitted.
Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) and Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer) were both positive about the start of the new season. "The comedy is getting darker and darker," said Longoria. "I think we had such an amazing first season that we're going to have to push the envelope even more in the second season ... we just want to keep it fun and interesting." Hatcher meanwhile said the "scripts are great". "I mean myself, I don't know what's happening in the next episode or the next episode, so then for me they're just complete page-turners."
Mark Moses (Paul Young) did have something definite to reveal, albeit rather succinctly. "I'm still alive!" he proclaimed.
