Legal representatives for Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer) have informed Get Desperate! the Desperate Housewives star never said she has been having sex in a van parked in her garden.

Last month, a story was widely circulated on the internet that claimed Ms Hatcher occasionally made love in an old van that is parked in her garden in order to stop her daughter catching her in the act. As part of that story, Teri Hatcher was supposed to have said, "I've had that battered VW van for years I think it's sexy and hot to get to grips with a guy in my passion wagon. [...] When my van's a-rocking, don't come knocking!"

In the July 29 edition of the Gossip Bullets, Get Desperate! reported on this story that had been making the rounds. However, we were informed today by legal representatives for ms Hatcher that while she does have a van parked outside her home, she merely uses it to go camping with her daughter. Not only has Ms Hatcher never had sexual or other amorous encounters with men in her van, she has never even invited a man into the van. Ms Hatcher apparently never made the statements that were attributed to her, and resents the implication she would be the kind of mother who would, in effect, commit a crime of child endangerment in order to steal away from the house to satisfy her passions without any interruptions from her daughter.

Upon receiving word from Ms Hatcher's representatives, we immediately removed the offending item from the July 27 gossip bullets. We would like to apologise to Ms Hatcher for giving exposure to a story that turned out to have no basis in fact, and sincerely regret any discomfort caused to her.
