• iFMagazine.com reported that K-EARTH 101-FM is auctioning off Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) and Ricardo Antonio Chavira (Carlos Solis)—that is, dinner with them. Money raised will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, to help the survivors of Hurricane Katrina.

• New York Post reported that Life & Style claimed Courtney Cox is negotiations to play "a mental-insitution escapee" in a future episode of Desperate Housewives. Creator Marc Cherry once said recently: "I'm the hugest Courteney Cox fan", but it could be yet another rumor based upon one of his comments. UK tabloids took a recent quote from Cherry about Kelly Monaco and spun a story about how she was going to appear on the show and the rest of the cast hated her—only for Cherry to later admit to not knowing who Monaco was.

• Hollywood.com reported that Teri Hatcher was surprised to receive a free television for attending the post-Emmy Awards party because she only attended for five minutes. "I thought, 'Well, I probably don't get the flat-screen TV because there has to be a limit—you have to stay at the party for a certain amount of time in order to get the TV. But actually the next day I got it!" Hatcher said it's going to go in her bathroom.

• contactmusic.com claimed that Teri Hatcher witnessed leopards having sex while she and her daughter were on a safari. "It's intense and it goes on and on and on. There's a whole kind of five minute ritual, which involves the man [getting] on the girl and then the thing happens and then he kind of bites her down and then when she finally can't take anymore, she turns around and swats him across the face."

• TVPredictions.com said that Teri Hatcher is the worst looking celebrity on high definition TV (HDTV). In a vitriolic attack on the star, Swanni wrote: "Hatcher's forehead is covered with bulging veins, making it look like a page from a AAA Road Map. And speaking of traveling, she looks like she hasn't driven to a restaurant in years. Hatcher is so skinny that she makes Calista Flockhart look like Queen Latifah."

• contactmusic.com quoted an alleged friend of Marcia Cross (Bree Van De Kamp), who said that Cross is planning a Christmas wedding. "A candlelight ceremony is planned for St Matthias Church, which her parents attend faithfully," said the "source". The site also quoted Cross saying that she looked forward to marriage. "[I'm most looking forward to] being in the same bed with him every night. We're not living in the same place right now, so that's something I can't wait for."

• Hollywood.com reported that George Clooney is angry that an appearance on Dateline, where he was to talk about the news media, was replaced with an interview with Eva Longoria. Dateline producers still wanted Clooney to appear, but only to talk about his new film, so he decided to withdraw from the program.

• USA Today posted a piece about the use of beautiful celebrities in advertising, and talked about Eva Longoria's deal to promote L'Oreal. "There is a team that goes along to make sure that every inch of your body has been touched with makeup and lotion," Longoria said.
