Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer) suffered an injury to her eye on set according to TorontoSun.com, after a light bulb exploded in her face. "Glass lodged in my right eye and proceeded to scratch my cornea," she told People. "I was taken to a wonderful eye doctor, and am now wearing a most glamorous eye patch over the right half of my face." She should be back at work in two days' time. Last year Eva Longoria was rushed to hospital after a pole fell on her head on set.
- Actress and model Cindy Margolis has agreed to post for Playboy at the age of 40, reported The Age, and she credited Desperate Housewives with helping her make the decision. "Thank goodness for Desperate Housewives," she said. "You're not dead just because you are married and have children."
- James Denton's (Mike Delfino) advice to new father Tom Cruise? "Hire help. You can afford it!", according to ExtraTV.com.
- She may have been number one in Maxim's poll of the world's sexiest women, but Eva Longoria only managed to come 20th in FHM's poll according to u. tv. Teri Hatcher ranked 81st. Keira Knightley ranked first.
- Eva Longoria said she can't win with the tabloid press when it comes to talking about her relationship. "It's a shame because you can't be private about your life and you can't be public," she said, according to Ananova. "If people say, 'How are you and Tony?' and I say, 'I don't want to talk about my personal life,' they're like 'Trouble in paradise: Eva doesn't speak about it.' Then you talk about it, and they're like: 'Trouble in paradise: Eva speaks out.' You can't win."
- Eva Longoria has denied saying she would like Michael Douglas to appear on Desperate Housewives, but now apparently her other The Sentinel co-star wants to be on the show. The Calgary Sun reported that Longoria said Kiefer Sutherland wanted to be a guest star on the show, "shoot the gardener and leave".
- Eva Longoria has again said she's interested in having babies, according to Inside Entertainment. "I'm big on family, so I'll definitely have my own. At least three or four," she said. Children, not families, that is.
- The tabloid press now seems to be occupied with talk of on-set fighting on American Idol, and Teri Hatcher seems to have been drawn in. According to PR Inside, Paula Abdul is at odds with host Ryan Seacrest and recently said (regarding his rumored relationship with Hatcher): "He only kisses the mirror, and honestly, do you think Teri Hatcher is that desperate of a housewife?"
- Teri Hatcher has one again lamented her lack of serious relationship, according to Digital Spy. "People expect that if you're pretty, successful, the boyfriend mission should be easy," she wrote in her new book, Burnt Toast And Other Philosophies Of Life. "I never thought I'd be over 40 and have no one to go to dinner with, nor someone who loves me and whom I trust, but here I am. Sad but true."
- In a publicity stunt to help them get exposure in the US market, pop group Girls Aloud are apparently "up in arms" over Nadine Coyle's attempt to get her "boyfriend" Jesse Metcalfe (John Rowland) to appear in one of their music videos according to Digital Spy.
- Nicollette Sheridan (Edie Britt) is rumored to be taking yoga to enhance her fertility, according to All Headline News. Is there a source? Of course there is. "When Nicollette came out of the class, she was absolutely glowing," said the supposed onlooker. "She was gushing to a friend that she hopes the classes work."
- A press release at PR.com by Suspect announced that they have redesigned their website, and took the opportunity to claim that Jesse Metcalfe, Shawn Pyfrom (Andrew Van De Kamp) and Mehcad Brooks (Matthew Applewhite) are fans of their products.
