Actress Melinda McGraw has landed a recurring guest role in Desperate Housewives.

It's not know who the 41-year old actress will play yet, or how many episodes she will appear in, reported Variety. According to recent reports (story, story), several new families will be moving into Wisteria Lane soon. If McGraw will be playing any of these new neighbors, it would mean she will make her first appearance this season, but McGraw could be playing someone else entirely.

McGraw's previous regular roles include stints on Center of the Universe, My Adventures in Television and two years on The Commish in the '90s. She also made numerous guest appearances in The District as Vicky Montgomery and The X-Files as Melissa Scully. Film roles include Nutty Professor II and Wrongfully Accused.

McGraw has also joined the comedy pilot Neighbors, a show that may soon be joining Desperate Housewives on the ABC schedule, according to The Futon Critic. The show focuses on the dueling neighbors who have to contend with each other when their wives and children become friends. McGraw plays the wife of one of those neighbors, Lenny Clarke played by Brian Benben.
