By Antony November 27, 2005 - 11:15 PMHello World! As I said last week, I will utilize my Site Columns to recommend and talk about music.
I'm actually having music withdrawal this week, as Napster has upgraded its client software yet has broken it if you're on Windows XP Professional 64 Bit Edition. Grr. So I'm not able to listen to music quite as much as I want.
But anyway, right now I'm listening to Carrie Underwood. Carrie won American Idol #4, and has now released her album. I felt American Idol 4 was no where near as good as #3. #3 had the greats such as Fantasia Barrino, Diana DeGarmo, LaToya London and Jennifer Hudson. Wow that was good, and definitely the best batch of singers that I've heard out of any of these shows (and I've seen two seasons of Popstars, two seasons of Pop Idol, two seasons of American Idol and am now on my second season of The X Factor. Back to American Idol #4 though, it had erm... well... Carrie who won, the rest was kind of forgettable. (And the result was spoiled by those BBC schmucks who, in one of their many efforts to undermine their digital channel rivals, decided to spoil the outcome three days before it aired on ITV 2.)
I didn't even really like Carrie, but I'm listening to Carrie's album right now and it's not bad. It's quite similar to the likes of Leann Rimes. You can listen to the full album over at CMT. I'm currently on track 5... so this isn't a recommendation as a favorite, but it's nice to get an opportunity to listen to an entire album online before purchasing, and I did get to get to chat about American Idol. Roll on January for season five. Talk Desperate! threads Discuss the new episode over at Talk Desperate! Poll Results Below are the results of the most recent Get Desperate! poll:
