• On the new TV Land documentary Tickled Pink, looking at the history of TV shows that resonated with the gay community, Desperate Housewives was called the new campy show of the 21st Century. The documentary is being repeated throughout June.

• Starting at 9:00pm this Tuesday, DH network ABC will be premiering its big summer mini-series Empire, set in Rome around 40 BC. More information can be found in this Associated Press article.

• The South Carolina-based Island Packet newspaper recently published an article interviewing real-life homemakers about their opinion of Desperate Housewives. "The part I love is the way they are bringing glamour back into being a housewife," one Hilton Head island homemaker said. "They're showing that these women really do have lives." But another disagreed, saying that Hollywood has taken it over the top, and you "don't get to stay home all day like Hollywood has portrayed it; it's about all I can do to organize the day."

• The DH one-hour recap show "Sorting Out The Dirty Laundry" is scheduled to air in Australia soon. Sydney Morning Herald reviewer Jackie Chowns wasn't impressed, saying that "regular viewers will find this recap on the entire series a pointless disappointment."

• Just in time for the local DH premiere, the Malaysian Star web site has published an overview of the show, and especially the rumors of catfighting among the co-stars.

• According to Entertainment Tonight, CBS will soon be airing a special reunion show of the classic soap opera Knots Landing. Unfortunately, Nicolette Sheridan (Edie Britt), who had a starring role on the show, won't be participating in the reunion, as she's currently promoting Desperate Housewives in Europe.

• Eva Longoria Fan has been updated with new screenshots of Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) appearing on Access Hollywood, straight from the set of her new film The Sentinel.

• And Longoria has managed to impress co-star Kiefer Sutherland on the set of The Sentinel. "She's certainly the best shot," he told Web India. "At one point Eva just let off about five or six rounds and Michael leaned back and went, 'Oh my God.' They were all perfect bullseyes. This is not a woman you wanna make angry." Longoria herself explained that because her dad was a hunter, their house was always full of guns. "I've been shooting with my dad at targets my whole life."

• San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker celebrated winning the NBA championship together with his girlfriend, Eva Longoria. "It's amazing to see how much happiness we bring to people," he said, after being cheered on by fans while he rode through the Riverwalk with Longoria, and hoisted up the title trophy over his head. • Longoria wasn't the only DH star who attended the Spurs' championship game. Prior to the match, Ricardo Antonio Chavira (Carlos Solis) said he wanted the Spurs to game, but predicted it would be the "closest of all the games."

• The TV Guide Channel is preparing a new program called TV Candy, in which Melissa Rivers helps fans recreate the look of their favourite TV characters. An early example will apparently be a DH character: "Or you've perfected your household chores, but you don't want to be Marcia Cross," Rivers told TV Guide Online. "You want to be Bree from Desperate Housewives, dammit! We'll give you her look."
