- Marcia Cross (Bree Van De Kamp) revealed that not only did she audition for the role of Mary Alice Young, but she was also not the first choice for the role of Bree. "Originally I wanted to be the narrator—which is an odd thing, I know, but it appealed to me," she said, according to Yahoo!. "When I auditioned though, Marc Cherry said, 'No, no, no. I want you to read for Bree.' I actually read cold for Bree right then, and they wanted to test me. In the end I actually didn't get the part right away. They told me wonderful things, but offered it to someone else. That person—who shall remain nameless—turned it down."
- Ricardo Antonio Chavira (Carlos Solis) will appear on The Ellen Degeneres Show today, according to the show's official website.

"Here you have two men in a family willing to speak out," he said. "We don't have to be the only ones to speak out on this issue. Other men can talk about it as well. it's okay to talk about it."
- The Sentinel, which stars Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis), performed slightly better than industry estimates, taking in $14.65 million on its opening weekend in North America. It came in third, behind new release Silent Hill on $20.2 million and Scary Movie 4 which took $17m in its second weekend of release..
- Jeff Vice reviewed The Sentinel at deseretnews.com and didn't have anything positive to safe. Branding Longoria a "negligible presence" he said "Kiefer Sutherland basically plays the same tough-talking agent role in The Sentinel that he does on television's 24. Which, of course, begs the question: Why anyone would pay to see this ludicrous, contrived thriller on the big screen when they can see something similar—and better—for free on the small screen?"
- There will be a Desperate Housewives-inspired class at the Virginia Commonwealth University's fashion show in May, according to TimesDispatch.com. Participants will create "sexy, yet socially appropriate dresses" to match the characters of the shows. "Part of the fun of this was that the students had to do a little research ... get a feel for each personality and design for that personality," said VCU's fashion department head Karen Guthrie. "It says a lot about how people evaluate their own looks. On Desperate Housewives, there's the sex kitten and someone who is the homespun, clean one. There's a certain element of understanding your consumer and designing for her."
- Mark Moses (Paul Young) has signed on to the lead role in off-Broadway comedy Burleigh Grimes, according to Yahoo News!. The production will open on June 13, and "set in a world where no bad deed goes unrewarded Burleigh Grimes follows George Radbourn (James Badge Dale), a Wall Street newbie who doesn't recognize that his mentor, Burleigh Grimes (Mark Moses), may not be entirely sincere in appearance or agenda." The play's official website can be found here.
