Marcia Cross People Guide Marcia Cross (Bree Van De Kamp) and Nicolette Sheridan (Edie Britt) have exchanged the sets of Wisteria Lane for filming at the supermarket.
The duo teamed up to promote a new line of 7-Up drinks, in which they battle over the soft drink and a mystery man. "She really wants to fight over the boy," Sheridan told ET. "Let's just talk about who gets the guy in this commercial though, okay?" Marcia swiped back. Sheridan conceded defeat. "I've gotta give them up every once in a while!"
7-Up Plus is a new low-calorie version of the standard lemon and lime drink, with different flavors as well as added calcium and vitamin C. The actresses debated the benefits of the different flavors. "The Cherry looks good with [Nicolette] right now. I guess it depends what outfit you wear," said Cross. "Edie would definitely choose cherry," added Sheridan.
The ladies also talked about their recent European tour to promote Desperate Housewives, and the unexpected level of attention. "It was fantastic, we had such a good time," said Cross. "It was shocking how many countries are watching the show. It was non-stop." And when asked what the most memorable part was, Sheridan said it was their visit to Rome. "Just the history and the power in that place is just stunning," she said. "We were working very very long hours but we managed to squeeze in the Vatican [and] The Coliseum." Cross said she was surprised by the attention they received. "
The new 7-Up range makes it debut in US stores on August 28, and the advertisement is part of a $50m marketing campaign. Its aim is to reinvigorate 7-Up sales in the face of an industry slump.
