The official details for the next new episode of Desperate Housewives have been released.

"They Asked Me Why I Believe In You" will air on Sunday October 23 2005 at 9pm. Here are the official details:

Susan's longtime book agent and dear friend, Lonny Moon, gets into financial trouble. Lynette is forced to go out to bars night after night with her man-hungry boss, Nina. Bree re-buries Rex amid police suspicions, and Gaby hires hotshot lawyer David Bradley to defend Carlos.

The episode was directed by producer David Grossman, his third time directing. The episode was written by Alan Cross, his first credited episode of Desperate Housewives.

Wallace Shawn is a popular character actor of film and TV, and there's a good chance you'll recognise his voice even if you don't recognise him to look at. On the big screen he's done everything from voicing Rex in Toy Story, to starring in cult favorite The Princess Bride. On TV he played Grand Nagus Zek on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and has also guested on Crossing Jordan and Ally McBeal.

Michael Bailey Smith has starred in numerous episodes of Charmed, and has also appeared in The O.C. and Malcolm in the Middle. Nicki Micheaux meanwhile has traded in being a detective on The Shield for being a detective on Desperate Housewives. Adrian Pasdar makes his second appearance as David Bradley, while Joely Fisher, Charlie Hartsock and Kurt Fuller all return to the show.

"They Asked Me Why I Believe In You" will air on ABC on Sunday October 23 2005 at 9pm. It will be repeated on Saturday October 29 2005 at 10pm.
