Thanks to the Superbowl, CBS wasn't just ahead of the other networks it was leagues ahead. Its ratings beat all the other networks combined on Sunday, but ABC did come second for the night—a small consolotation on an evening where nothing else really stood much of a chance. But, amazingly, Housewives actually went slightly up in the ratings, as some people sought out an alternative to sport.
According to figures released by Zap2it, "Come Play Wiz Me" scored a 11.0 rating with a 15 share. These figures mean that of all households in the United States with television sets, 11.0% were tuned into DH, as well as 15% of those households actually watching television on Sunday at 9:00pm.
That was up from last wee's 10.6/15, but Housewives came second in the hour to the juggernaut Colts-Patriots game which scored 25.1/35. The Apprentice tailed behind in third place with 4.4/6 for NBC.
Overall ABC came second in total households, with CBS's 22.6/33 crushing ABC's 7.9/11 (although again that was an increase on last week). In the all-important 18–49 demographic CBS's 14.9 was way ahead of ABC's 4.7.
Housewives lead-out Brothers & Sisters scored a steady 8.2/13, exactly the same last week's numbers, impressive considering it was against the close of the game on CBS.
