By Antony November 21, 2006 - 5:14 PMThere's quite a fatality record on Wisteria Lane, but Kathryn Joosten (Mrs. McCluskey) said that Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry promised her that her character won't meet a horrible fate.
"I got a promise from Marc that he wouldn't kill me off," she told TV Guide. But when asked if she had that in writing, she laughed. "No. Dumb!".
Talking about her character, she said that she was probably most like Lynette back in her younger years. "Oh, she was probably closer to Lynette than any of them," she said. "Lynette's a very practical kind of gal, and I think Karen was, too. She's not so much a nasty lady as somebody who really operates aggressively out of loneliness."
She also defended McCluskey and her attitude towards children. "She likes kids. She just doesn't think that anybody else is raising them right! I can attest to that. Ask my own kids how I feel about how they're raising my grandkids. I offer them lots of suggestions."
She also revealed that if McCluskey is going to make a move on any of the husbands, it'll be Mr. Solis. "He's the dangerous one, c'mon!" Discuss this news item at Talk Desperate!
