In the fifth episode of season two, Lynette Scavo is taking advantage of the relative freedom of being back at work. She's taken a night out with a friend, however she's not in the party spirit.

Get Desperate! sources revealed that a Lynette will be in a bar with Joanne, but while Joanne is having fun Lynette is just not in the mood. Lynette does however play matchmaker, telling one of the men at the club that Joanne likes him.

The evening proceeds with both ladies talking to guys, with Lynette receiving quite a bit of attention. But again she is an unwilling participant. It starts to prove too much for the Scavo mom when a lecherous drinker named Chuck tries to make a move on her.

Lynette is adamant that Chuck should leave her alone. After all she has four children, and shows him her wedding ring for good measure. However far from being a disincentive it actually encourages him. He has three kids too, he points out, and he deserves his fun. And so does Lynette. But Lynette is not convinced.

Meanwhile the police are threatening to exhume the body of someone close to a Wisteria Lane resident, and as a way of gaining information they are plotting to reveal some potentially shocking evidence.

The fifth Desperate Housewives episode of the second season, the title of which is not yet known, is currently expected to air on Sunday October 30 2005.
