Marc Cherry People Guide A newspaper today revealed a number of tidbits of what may be to come in the second season of Desperate Housewives, including a character leaving to have an affair.
According to Sunday Express, a character will temporarily leave Wisteria Lane for a "fling in pastures new". The newspaper didn't clarify whether that means they character would leave the show, or whether we'd be get to see to their excursion, but show creator Marc Cherry promised some surprises. "I have some twisted little surprises to spring," he said, "[and] not just on viewers but on the cast too."
The newspaper also said that Gabrielle would be getting a third lover, but there was no indication of whether she is the one who will be leaving Wisteria Lane. It also said that there would be a "nasty shock in store for her". They also vaguely alluded to "twists and turns" in the life of Bree Van De Kamp.
With Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) potentially get another high-profile story, she told the newspaper she was proud of what the show had brought her. "The overnight success of Desperate Housewives has put me on the radar of every Hollywood producer and for that I'll be eternally grateful.
