Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) was yesterday taken to hospital after an injury on the set of Desperate Housewives.
According to a report at CNN, a spokesperson for the show said that the actress was "bumped on the head by something". Apparently TV show Access Hollywood reported that the injury was caused by a pole falling on her. Head injuries are always taken seriously, so naturally Longoria was taken to hospital. But the actress is fine and was treated then released.
Before the accident last week, Longoria appeared on Late Night With Conan O'Brien where she talked about how she has been told by ABC not to talk about vibrators. "I did an article in Self magazine, which is a great women's magazine, and it was about women's sexuality," she told O'Brien. "And I had just said that I think every woman should own a vibrator because it's like... it's you know, the 21st century!"
When pressed on why it was important to have, Longoria clammed up. "It's good to have," she said, reducing her chat to a whisper and laughing. "You'll get me in trouble with ABC, I'm not meant to be taking about this!" Longoria said that the tabloids are once again to blame for distorting the news and creating an issue about it. "It was a nice article, really tastefully done, it was a beautiful article. Then all the tabloids take it a part and go 'Eva said this'. But I did get like a hundred vibrators sent to me. By the truckload. Boxes and boxes! I gave them to all my girlfriends."
Longoria also said how she had her house designed for her, and how it's not causing problems that she's dating basketball player Tony Parker. "I just re-did my mouse, and my designer Robert Verdi hung all the light features really low for me. So [Tony] and all of his basketball friends are like WHAM! right into the light fixtures in the hall, going out the house..."
