• Marcia Cross (Bree Van De Kamp) said that she is intimidated by shooting sex scenes. "One scene was particularly hard, but we didn't shoot with our regular crew. I didn't know any of them and that really helped me out."

• When in China recently Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) bought a pirate copy of Desperate Housewives on DVD. "They did have Desperate Housewives season one all on the street. I did have to buy it for a dollar," she admitted.

• The Sunday Express reported this week that Kelly Monaco has been given a role on Desperate Housewives, quoting Marc Cherry's recent interview where he voiced interest in casting her. The newspaper claimed that an "insider" said scenes would be cut to make way for her, and that she would be the youngest castmember at 29 (obviously forgetting castmembers like 26 year-old Jesse Metcalfe). The Daily Express next day continued with the subject, saying that the "claws are out" for Monaco and that Eva Longoria "declared war" on her by wearing a bikini when at the Rooselvelt Hotel recently. By a strange coincidence the newspaper just happened to speak to an "onlooker" who just happened to have thoughts that agreed with the theme of the newspaper article! "It was if she was sending a message to the rest of the cast that she is the sexy one and they merely trail in her wake," said the "onlooker".

• Eva Longoria said that ABC has told her not to talk about vibrators. "ABC said, 'Will you please stop saying vibrator'," admitted Longoria.

• Eva Longoria has waxed lyrical about her first Brazilian wax. "It was when I was 25 or 26. I never waxed or really paid attention to that area. But it came at the right time. It opened the door to a whole new sexual side of me. I felt like Angelina Jolie after the Brazilian wax."

• Eva Longoria said she enjoys cooking for her boyfriend Tony Parker, and even held up a photoshoot to cook for one of friends. "One of Tony's friends said he would like some eggs. So I'm scrambling eggs in my full hair and make-up and Versace dress and I'm toasting toast and they're saying the shot's ready and I say, 'One second,' and I put the eggs on the plate and then I run back upstairs and lay fabulously on my bed."
