James Denton (Mike Delfino) has again voiced his desire to give up acting and turn to teaching instead, and said he wants to "disappear".
"My master plan is, get to season six [of Housewives] and Marc Cherry says, 'What, Jamie's still alive?' My plan is to keep my head down and not make him mad until then, and then just disappear," he told Herald Sun". "I have a place in Montana up in the mountains and that's where we really want to raise the kids. So if I can get two or three more years out of Housewives, they'll never see me again."
His wife, who was an actress, has already given up on acting. He said she was a "fantastic actress who stopped because she just got tired of the rat race of acting in LA". But he acknowledged the industry does have its benefits. "We have two little kids so it's nice to have a couple of dollars as an actor because we never used to. We've always been really, really poor, so it's fun to be able to start a college fund and that kind of stuff. This is a little bit of job security you normally don't have."
These comments echo ones he made early last year (story). "In an absolute perfect world, three to four years more out of Housewives and then a couple of projects I felt passionately about—not about money—and then move to Montana," he said at the time. "After that, maybe a teacher or maybe something more rewarding than acting." Discuss this news item at Talk Desperate!
