As if playing the boyfriend of Eva Longoria's Gabrielle Solis wasn't enough, Jesse Metcalfe (John Rowland) will spend his summer acting opposite two of Hollywood's hottest up-and-coming actresses.

According to an article in the Hollywood Reporter, Sophia Bush and Brittany Snow have signed on to star in Metcalfe's film debut, the revenge comedy John Tucker Must Die. Sophia Bush is one of the lead actresses on the WB teen hit One Tree Hill, while Brittany Snow starred in the recently-cancelled American Dreams.

In John Tucker Must Die, Metcalfe will play a teen lothario who goes out with a trio of girls from different social groups, and ends up breaking their hearts when they find out he's been triple-dipping. When a new student arrives at their high school, played by Snow, the three girls plan to set their ex-boyfriend up so he falls for the new girl -- just so she can dump him and break his heart later.

John Tucker Must Die was written by Jeff Lowell, who's previously worked on television shows such as Spin City, Sports Night and Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane. The film's director is Betty Thomas, famous not only for directing films such as Doctor Dolittle and I Spy, but also for playing Lucy Bates on the classic crime show Hill Street Blues.
