Marcia Cross (Bree Hodge) has spoken about her pregnancy, being confined to bed and how she named her new children.
"I went to the doctor's office, and I'd been having contractions and didn't even know it," Cross told People magazine about the events which led to her being confined to bed. "I thought I was this Amazon woman, and that bed rest was never going to happen to me."
Cross said that she chose to use the time for some education. "I thought, 'I might as well learn something'. So I got some books on tape —ancient Greek civilization, something on the symphony Middlemarch." However eventually her pregnancy made even the most simplest things difficult. "I couldn't breath really well, and I'd be so tired just talking on the phone. It was a very isolating time."
After developing preeclampsia, Cross was rushed into a hospital for a cesarean and is now the proud mother of two baby daughters, Savannah and Eden. Revealing the reasoning behind the names, she said the former "came to me in a premonition". While the latter came to her while receiving a massage.
