'Housewives' was back after a week's absence, and was down again in the ratings yesterday. ABC still did win overall, albeit with a smaller lead than normal.
According to figures released by Zap2it, "Don't Look At Me" scored a 12.9 rating with a 19 share. These figures mean that of all households in the United States with television sets, 12.9% were tuned into DH, as well as 19% of those households actually watching television on Sunday at 9:00pm.
This was down from its 13.7/21 numbers two weeks ago. It beat NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent, which came in second, and CBS had to settle for third with the second part of its miniseries Covert One: The Hades Factor. Fox and the WB trailed behind.
Grey's Anatomy took a week off so that Housewives could help lauch What About Brian [story], and it got an unremarkable 8.4/14—barely beating NBC's Crossing Jordan on 8.3/14, and their positions may reverse once figures are finalized. Anatomy at first sat in Housewives' shadow and later grew, but Brian will now be shifted to Monday nights so it won't be able to benefit from the Housewives lead-in on a permanent basis.
Without Anatomy and with Housewives down again, ABC averaged 7.8/14 for the evening (down from 10.0/16 two weeks ago). NBC jumped to second with 6.3/11, CBS dropped to third with 5.9/10 and Fox and the WB followed in fourth and fifth place respectively.
