• contactmusic.com reported that Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer) is championing a t-shirt range designed to raise money for Hurricane Katrina victims. "I just wanted to do something. Fifty per cent of sales goes directly to the Red Cross to help the hurricane victims," said Hatcher. The t-shirts are available from Presents for Purpose and contain "bold and empowering words designed to inspire the buyer." Hatcher can be seen on the website modelling the designs which contain words such as "humanity" and "unity".

• contactmusic.com reported that Marcia Cross (Bree Van De Kamp) used her experiences as an AIDS ward nurse to portray Bree's homophobic shock at learning Andrew was bisexual. "I actually dealt with a lot of parents like that... people are all polarized in their thinking. In a way I felt like I had a responsibility to believe that my son would be lost to me if I didn't save him, and it wasn't for me to judge."

• The Journal News interviewed the owner of a gift bag company which sent gift bags to a "select group" of entertainers which included a pearl and sterling-silver bracelet. One of stars was Teri Hatcher, who thanked them for the gift bag and said she would wear the bracelet. "That's an amazing compliment," said owner Jane Ubell-Meyer.

• FemaleFirst.co.uk alleged that Eva Longoria's boyfriend Tony Parker offered to call the mayor of Paris over false allegations in tabloids. "French tabloids are regurgitating a bunch of old interviews I gave a long time ago where I said I wouldn't mind dating several guys at once," Longoria is said to have told gossip news site PageSix.com.

• ninemsn reported that Days of our Lives actor Thaao Penghlis claimed he may appear on Desperate Housewives. "I've certainly had great meetings with Desperate Housewives," he is reported to have said. "Marc Cherry ... called me in and I had lunch with him for two hours. It's certainly on the horizon."

• MSNBC reported that Jesse Metcalfe recently attended the unveiling of Hilfiger's spring 2006 collection.
