Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer) dropped in on The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently, and chatted about how a trip in the park was seized upon by the paparazzi.

"So I'm the new Clairol Nice and Easy Girl, which is kind of a fun thing to be 41 years old and get your first beauty campaign," she told host DeGeneres and her audience. "And so there's this scene where I'm walking this dog and I'm walking through a park and it's one of those big trees where the roots grow outside of the ground and I'm supposed to trip over the roots, and that's the joke—there's roots and I'd better do something about them.

"And so we're shooting this, and we're out in a park in Beverly Hills on a Saturday, so there's 300 fans and twice as many paparazzi and they're everywhere. And I'm doing this thing, falling, falling, and I do this trip and in one of the takes I tripped a little farther, like down to the ground [...] and I just looked up at the director and everybody and went, 'That's the shot.' "We literally said on the set, I go, 'Everybody write down what the headline's going to be and we'll all have a pool, and whoever gets closest will win.'"

DeGeneres produced a number of the magazines which featured the photo, including one that asked: 'Teri's new job: dog walker'? "New job! Dog walker!" Hatcher laughed. "Yeah, not going too well on Desperate Housewives, I'm taking up a sideline. And drunk while I'm doing it."

Also on the appearance DeGeneres got Hatcher to dance, and they laughed off rumors surrounding Hatcher dating Clooney. Hatcher explained that she only had to be in the vicinity of someone else for rumors to start, and told DeGeneres that a rumor was now bound to start about them dating. "I'll start it," DeGeneres joked.
