In the twentieth episode of season three, Susan turns violent after her marriage to Ian is called off.

Get Desperate! sources revealed that Susan will discover that she was the prize at the recent game of poker between Ian and Mike. She decides to call it off with Ian, and is both furious and upset with them of the men for treating her like an inanimate object.

Later, a routine trip to a mall goes wrong when a man steals a parking space in front of Susan's nose. Susan flips, stealing the man's keys and trying to move his car herself. When he tries to reach through the window to gain control of his car, she ends up trying to choke him by closing the car window.

Shocked by her own behavior and in trouble with the law, Susan has to attend counselling. The counsellor starts to probe Susan's feelings, and decides that Susan is merely avoiding choosing who she wants to be with by not going out with either guy. Who should she choose, Mike or Ian?

Meanwhile Travers is causing mischief, and gets a friend to upset Mrs McCluskey. Consequently Mrs McCluskey finds an ally in one of the Scavo children.
