Welcome to Get Desperate!, a new fan site dedicated to all things Desperate Housewives.

Are you as hooked by the mystery of Wisteria Lane as we are? Or are you just completely in love with people like Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer), Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis), James Denton (Mike Delfino) and Jesse Metcalfe (Jown Rowland)? Either way, we hope you'll enjoy this site as a place to find the latest news about all the DH stars, check in for background information about past and future episodes, and hang out with other Desperate Housewives fans. Here's a short overview of what you'll be able to find on GetDesperate.com:

• Get Desperate! - On the Get Desperate! main page, located right at GetDesperate.com, you'll find daily Desperate Housewives news updates. Before each episode airs, we'll post information about the people who created the episode, as well as providing a few tantalising hints of the story. And after each episode, we'll provide a review, a poll for you to let us know if you enjoyed the episode, and information on how many viewers watched the show. We'll also be publishing information about media appearances by the actors, new DH merchandise, and short news bullets. And that rumored Desperate Housewives spin-off? We'll keep you up to date on that as well!

  Of course, we can't do this without your help - so if you come across any Desperate Housewives news, we'd love it if you could let us know!

• Talk Desperate! - At Talk.GetDesperate.com you'll be able to find our Desperate Housewives discussion boards, giving you the opportunity to get in touch with other DH fans. We've got spoiler and non-spoiler forums, but also a forum to discuss the cast & crew, a fanfic/fan art forum, and forums on other television series and miscellaneous topics where you can really get to know your fellow fans.

  In order to post at Talk Desperate!, you'll first need to register for the forums, which you can do by going to the Talk Desperate! main page and clicking on New User. Once you've done so, there are already several threads you might be interested in, including one asking for your favorite character, a thread about the other shows the DH cast members starred in, and a finally one wondering about the user titles on Talk Desperate!

• Episode Guide - In the episode guide, you can already find information about the plot, air date, the creative crew, and guest stars of each episode, as well as cool trivia on some episodes. Over the coming months, we'll be adding even more information on upcoming episodes, including promo trailer transcripts, reviews, and fan poll results.

• People Guide - Want to know where your favorite Desperate Housewives actors appeared in before they moved in to Wisteria Lane? Or are you curious what the best fan sites are for people like Eva Longoria and Steven Culp? The People Guide has all that information, and more, dealing with the entire main cast of Desperate Housewives, as well as many recurring characters and crew members. Keep an eye on the People Guide over the coming weeks as we add extensive cast & character biographies for all the persons in the People Guide!

While Get Desperate! is a brand new Desperate Housewives fan site, most of the people running this site aren't new to the world of fan sites. Most of us are also involved with TrekToday, dedicated to all things Star Trek, and CSI Files, the world's biggest independent CSI news site. Here's a short list of the people you may encounter here at Get Desperate!:

• Christian is the editor of Get Desperate! He's the person who tries to keep all parts of the site together, though you'll also see him post news at Get Desperate, as well as post at Talk Desperate!, where's he an administrator. Christian can be reached at christian@getdesperate.com.(He's also the person writing this article, and promises to never refer to himself in the third person anymore.)

• Antony is Get Desperate!'s main news writer, and so you'll mostly see him post a lot of DH news here on the front page. But he's also one of the Talk Desperate! administrators, and the technical wizard behind many of the site's inner workings. Antony can be reached at antony@getdesperate.com, but if you have any news to submit to the site, please use our news submission form, or send it to news@getdesperate.com, so all the people writing for Get Desperate! will be able to see it.

• T'Bonz is the main administrator of Talk Desperate! She's the person to contact if you have any questions about the discussion boards, though it's probably a good idea to read through the list of Frequently Asked Questions first. T'Bonz can be reached at tbonz@getdesperate.com.

• On Get Desperate!, you may encounter three more names: Kristine, reachable at kristine@getdesperate.com, who will be writing weekly Desperate Housewives episode reviews, and Michelle (michelle@getdesperate.com) and Carolina (carolina@getdesperate.com), who will be jumping in to help with the news when things get really busy!

• Over on Talk Desperate!, three names you'll be seeing a lot of are Captain Ice, Sinclair and Robert. They form our initial group of moderators, and will be helping to keep the board running smoothly, and make it a fun place to talk about Desperate Housewives. They'll all be introducing themselves on the actual board - Ice in the General Discussion forum, Sinclair in General TV & Media, and Robert in Miscellaneous.
