Online reviewers have weighed in on the latest Desperate Housewives episode.

Here's what they had to say about "Silly People":

  • Michael Slezak reviewing for EW.com had a conversation with God after this week's episode:

So you guys are never gonna believe who just stopped by my apartment for a little visit. God himself—on official business—came to stamp my one-way express ticket to Hell. It seems He was none too pleased that I'd just spent the previous hour howling with laughter watching a show in which a spoiled suburban housewife scored cheap household labor from a Chinese immigrant who'd just been freed by the FBI from a life of involuntary servitude. Needless to say, I had to think fast. So I was like, "C'mon, God, cut me some slack. Weren't you watching Desperate Housewives tonight? Don't tell me you didn't laugh in spite of yourself!'

You can read his full analysis over at EW.com.

  • Dave Anderson at TV Guide Online did not like the Scavos' story. "The Lynette-Tom story was beyond ridiculous—such a waste of Felicity Huffman's and Doug Savant's talents, not to mention the normally enjoyable Currie Graham as their boss, Ed. Like an advertising exec would play frat-house games with his employees. I thought I was watching Fear Factor with Tom about to eat a donut out of a toilet and Lynette eating the raw meat."

  • Keith McDuffee reviewed this week for TV Squad, while Sarah Gilbert takes a week off. He was also unimpressed by the office pranks. "I hate how shows will capitalize on the whole 'hey, I was in a fraternity, too!' thing. Look, I was in a fraternity in college and had an awesome time there and met great people, but would I give another greek a break now that I'm out of college? Not on that fact alone, I can tell you that. Oh, and Lynette's raw bacon chowdown was pretty gross. I mean, it's at least edible material, but bacon is mostly pig fat. And she ate a pound of it in one sitting. Yeah, I think I need a bucket, too."

  • There is also brief recap at Television Without Pity, where visitors have so far rated the episode B in a poll.

  • Finally, to tide you over to the next new episode, there is a new episode of Desperate Houseflies online.
