  • A press release has been issued to announce the second season of Desperate Housewives. It features the new expanded cast list which now includes Alfre Woodard (Betty Applewhite), Mehcad Brooks (Matthew Applewhite), Shawn Pyfrom (Andrew van De Kamp), Joy Lauren as (Danielle Van De Kamp) and Doug Savant as (Tom Scavo).

  • The first image of the first season DVD menus has been released.

  • There are images online of Felicity Huffman (Lynette Scavo) in her very first film Thank You, Jackie Robinson, and attending the Maui Film Festival, and Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer) at the Yo Yo Ma Performance at the Hollywood Bowl.

  • ABC re-runs of Desperate Housewives will be pushed an hour later to make way for My Kind of Town. The seven-episode series features 200 people from small towns across America participating in games to win cash and prizes.

  • Nicolette Sheridan (Edie Britt) will be visiting Australia to promote a lingerie range. "I'm looking forward to my return," she said. "I know I'll be filming a Hestia TV commercial in Sydney and making a quick trip to Melbourne, both of which I love."

  • Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) will be making an appearance at The 2005 Teen Choice Awards, which is schedule to air on Fox on August 16 2005.

  • According to a betting site, Teri Hatcher is favorite to win the best comedy actress award at the Emmys, Desperate Housewives is set to win best comedy and Lost is pegged as the winner of ebst drama. Plus, it's been announced that Ellen Degeneres will host the Emmy awards show.

  • A re-run of a November 2004 edition of The Ellen Degeneres Show, which features Teri Hatcher, will be repeated on August 15.

  • The second installment in "The Work and the Glory" movie series has a title and release date. The movies feature Brenda Strong (Mary Alice Young) and chronicles "one family's struggles during the founding days of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints".

  • Jesse Metcalife (John Rowland) will be featured in the September 2005 isue of Vanity Fair.

  • Tickets are up for auction to a charity event hosted by James Denton .

  • ABC's resurgence is credited with helping a 41% jump in profits at parent company Walt Disney Co.

  • There is an article online about ABC's ad selling tactics.

  • E! Online is hosting the Golden Tater awards, with Desperate Housewives receiving a couple of nominations.
