• Marcia Cross (Bree Van De Kamp) and Felicity Huffman (Lynette Scavo) will be appearing in public service announcements to promote QVC's charity fundraiser "FFANY Shoes on Sale". Over the past decade the event has sold over one million pairs of shoes and raised nearly $20m for good causes. This year's event benefits a number of cancer charities. "I was honored to be an Entertainment Industry Foundation ambassador and support this event and this cause," said Cross. "Breast cancer and other women's cancers claim far too many lives." Huffman said: "I said 'yes' immediately when asked by the Entertainment Industry Foundation to help support this cause ... I hope my efforts contribute to bringing better ways to detect and treat this disease much closer to a reality."

• Instyle magazine takes an intimate look at the lives of actors in its latest issue. Teri Hatcher is featured after sending in a photo of her and her daughter at the mall. "Teri is very vocal about this really great, close relationship she has with her seven-year-old daughter," said assistant editor Suzanne Zuckerman. "And they really vamp it up. You can see that Emerson has a little bit of that inner wild child that her mom exhibits on Desperate Housewives."
