Ricardo Antonio Chavira (Carlos Solis) can be found on the cover of the latest Catalina magazine—a publication dedicated to the "mind, body and soul of today's Latina"—making him the first male to male to ever adorn its cover.

The May/June 2005 issue allows readers to "meet the man behind TV's favorite new bad boy", according to the magazine's official website. The website has a shot of the cover in question, as well as a sneak peak at the interview in which Chavira talks about his average day "chasing my son around the house with half a diaper on." The magazine features exclusive photos by celebrity photographer John Russo taken at the Boe Restaurant in Beverly Hills.

Chavira also spoke to Brilliant magazine about some of the joys of working on Desperate Housewives. "I'm getting paid to work around beautiful women", is how he summed up his thoughts on the show. Pointing out he doesn't have to work too hard, he said: "It's the women on the show who are really working. I have an easy schedule." Chavira went on to explain the moment when he felt that "he'd arrived". "At the In Style party, I was thinking, 'Oh my Gosh, these are the people you watch on TV.' Then I thought, 'No, these are your peers.' And that made me feel really good. Then I had a big stiff drink."
