Online retailer Amazon has updated it page for the Desperate Housewives first season DVD box set, revealing some of the extras that will be featured on the DVDs.

One of the new features, according to Amazon, will be the NFL Desperate Housewives spoof which saw Nicolette Sheridan (Edie Britt) seduce a football player. It triggered a number of complaints to the Federal Communications Commission but was recently deemed "not indecent" (story) potentially giving it the all clear for inclusion on DVD.

Other new features listed include an audio commentary with creator Marc Cherry and his mother. Cherry has often stated how the four core housewives are each based upon his mother in some way, but this will be her first actual involvement with the show. There's also "Secrets of Wisteria Lane—Interactive Neighborhood Map and "Confidentially Speaking—Dr. Goldfine's Secret Sessions Revealed".

As TVShowsOnDVD.com noted, Amazon doesn't list a number of extra features that were mentioned in the original press release. Those include cast commentaries and behind the scenes featurettes. Whether these have been dropped, or just aren't listed, isn't known.

The DVD box set is available for pre-order from Amazon.com for $38.99.
