By Antony October 10, 2005 - 5:24 PMActor Page Kennedy has been revealed as the person playing the occupant of the Applewhite cellar, and he recently gave his thoughts on the character that will no doubt become an increasingly big part of season two.
"I can tell you my character is very strong, he's sweet, but he can be dangerous," Kennedy told MLive.com. "I have never played a character like this before." He added that he thinks he landed the role because "my physical attributes make me look dangerous, but I bring a kind of naive sweetness to my roles. I think they were looking for both qualities."
Kennedy also said that he is a big fan of Alfre Woodard, who plays his captor Betty Applewhite. "Alfre Woodard was my favorite actress before this," he said. "She has so much mystery, and she's so compelling to watch. I have to remind myself to be in the moment as Caleb instead of watching her work. And Alfre is such a sweet and lovely lady."
Kennedy's film work includes S.W.A.T., and on TV he's had recurring roles in The Shield and Barbershop. He has also had guest spots on NYPD Blue and Six Feet Under.
