• Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer) recently poured her heart out to Marcia Cross (Bree Van De Kamp) after a relationship "turned sour", according to Entertainment News. "There are no cat fights. In fact... Marcia held me in the make-up trailer while I cried over a recent heartache. Rumors [of fighting] are just that, rumors. We are all there for each other."

• Carol Burnett spoke to ET! about her upcoming role as Bree's step mother. "She kind of raised Bree," Burnett she said. "She is this uptight, waspy kind of lady. I'm kind of seeing her as the much older version of Bree." She added that her character is "a little difficult, but then so is Bree." The site also revealed that Ronny Cox has been cast Bree's father. Cox's film roles include Total Recall and RoboCop and his TV gigs include Stargate SG-1 and The Practice.

• Sex and the City actress Kristin Davis disagreed with comments that her show was like Desperate Housewives, and said Housewives doesn't represent single women. "We were on the cover of Time because there was a cultural moment," she said, according to Yahoo!. "Desperate Housewives in a whole different thing. Where is the show for the single women who aren't married, and trying to figure out what to do?"

• Popbitch claimed in its newsletter this week that "Michael Bolton and Nicollette Sheridan (Edie Britt) [were] spotted at Caesars Palace wedding chapel, Las Vegas last weekend".

• Sopranos actress Edie Falco said she fed up with being mistaken for Felicity Huffman (Lynette Scavo), reported FemaleFirst.co.uk. "People have actually come up to me and gone, 'Felicity!' I've seen pictures of her and thought, 'Oh my God! Oh wait, that's not me'," she said. Judge for yourself by looking at pictures of Falco at the IMDb.

• While Falco wants to distance herself from Huffman, others are the opposite. Brady Bunch actress Florence Henderson said she wants a role on Desperate Housewives as Lynette's mother. Looking at a photo of Huffman, Henderson said she "could easily be her mother", reported abc13.com.

• Jesse Metcalfe (John Rowland) was allegedly swamped by admiring fans on his visit to Australia, reported NEWS.com.au. "The women just keep going wild," said his minder Todd Tanguay, "and he is always finding romance."
