ABC has released the first trailer to feature new footage from season two of Desperate Housewives.

Included in the promo are shots of Mike and Susan being held captive by Zach, Carlos in prison and Lynette trying to go back to work. The trailer isn't currently available for viewing online (although it could be put on the ABC website in the future) so below is a transcript, along with a few screenshots.

The new trailer continues the recent theme of apples and the term "juicy", as featured in ABC's laundry bag marketing campaign as well as its new 'juicy' generic trailer.

IT'S BEEN A CRUEL SUMMER...

[Zach raises points his gun at Mike.]
[Bongo stands up.]
[Mike looks Susan Mayer.]

[Susan is sitting at the table,she looks scared. She looks to Zach.]
[A close up on Zach with the gun.]
[A gun shot is heard, and the screen goes black.]
[The Desperate Housewives theme starts. Tom is in bed and Lynette drags the duvet off.]
[Tom looks startled.]
[We're cut to a prison visiting room, and Gabrielle leans across a table to kiss Carlos.]

[Back to Tom, who is now lying on the floor possibly in pain.]
Lynette: Geeze are you crying?

[Text over some water with bobbing apples in it: SEPTEMBER 25TH]

[Text continues: A JUICY NEW SEASON]
[Gabrielle is sitting at the prison table, talking to Carlos.]
Gabrielle: Okay, yes, I had a little affair.
[Carlos sits calmly, with no expression on his face.]
Gabrielle: Nobody died!
[We cut to church, at a funeral. Rex is lying in an open casket.]
[Bree dressed in black stands up suddenly.]
Bree: WAIT!
[We see Gabrielle, wearing a big black hat, look surprised.]
Bree: do not close that coffin.
[Andrew stands watching at Bree.]
[We then go to Lynette, who is in an office holding a baby.]
[We see a businesswoman in a suit, with her arms crossed.]
Businesswoman: you brought your baby to an interview?
[Lynette shoves a bag in her arms.]
Lynette: watch me multitask.
[Back in prison, Carlos is leaving the visitors' room.]
[Gabrielle stands up and shouts to Carlos.]
Gabrielle: I said I was sorry, what more do you want?
[Carlos is standing in the door.]
Carlos: a paternity test.
[We see Gabrielle's shocked expression.]

[Text over a scene of blue sky, white picket fence and hanging apples: Desperate Housewives. SEASON PREMIERE. Sunday September 25th 9/8c.]
[Finally, the ABC logo appears over just a shot of the sky.]
