With Eva Longoria's (Gabrielle Solis) new movie The Sentinel approaching its release later this month, Longoria explained what attracted her to the movie and how her character is nothing like Gabrielle Solis.
"It's a triangle between Michael [Douglas], Kiefer [Sutherland] and me, but it's not a love triangle," she told MoviesOnline. "That's why I chose this movie. It's the opposite of Gabrielle."
Talking about her character in the film she said: "She's an eager beaver. She wants to learn, totally downplays her sexuality, has to prove herself twice as much as a man, and is determined to be the best she can be. She's new but not complacent; she thinks outside the box. It's not about the clothes, the hair and the make-up, the way it is for Gabrielle. Jill Marin is all about the work."
In the same article, her co-star and star of 24 Sutherland said he was pleased to work with Longoria. "She has an incredible sense of focus," he said. "The character she plays betrays her personality and that's the mark of a great actor."
In The Sentinel a disgraced special agent to the White House endeavors to foil a conspiracy to assassinate the U.S. President. It gets its US release on 21 April 2006.
