The first image of the actual DVD discs from the Desperate Housewives first season DVD box has been revealed.

Buena Visa released a shot of the six discs, and it's been published at TVShowsOnDVD.com (and a small version is to the right). Disc one features Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer), disc two Nicolette Sheridan (Edie Britt), disc three Marcia Cross (Bree Van De Kamp), disc four Felicity Huffman (Lynette Scavo) being harassed by her children, disc five Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) canoodling with Jesse Metcalfe (John Rowland) and disc six has Brenda Strong (Mary Alice Young).

There is also a new Desperate Housewives product due for release next month. The Desperate Housewives soundtrack will feature music from and inspired-by the show, and includes songs by Shania Twain, Jewel, Aretha Franklin and Gloria Estefan. The CD also features the Desperate Housewives theme tune.

Meanwhile, there are new details on the calendar and book that were previously reported on here at Get Desperate! (story).

The 2006 wall calendar is now available. "The Desperate Housewives 2006 Calendar captures the show's unique style with a full-color image each month," says Andrews McMeel Publishing in its marketing text for the product. The Desperate Housewives board game has also been released.

The companion book to the show, Desperate Housewives: Behind Closed Doors, has yet to be published, but there are more details on the publication. This is how the publisher describes the book:
