In the nineteenth episode of season three, Gabrielle gets engaged... however her boyfriend has very little say in the matter.

Get Desperate! sources revealed that Gabrielle and her boyfriend Victor, who is running for mayor, get carried away in a public place. This leads to incriminating photos and blackmail against the would-be-mayor. However, Gabrielle fights back against the blackmailers, leading the photos to fall into he hands of the police—police officers who happen to be in the pocket of the current mayor.

Suffice it to say the photos come out and Victor's ratings plummet. With his attempt for a life in politics facing ruin, his campaign manager is furious and arranges for a press conference to diffuse the situation. But as Victor is savaged by the press for his sordid antics, Gabrielle resorts to drastic measures to help save him—she speaks in front of the press to announce that they are getting married.

Meanwhile Edie and Carlos get extremely friendly, there's a power cut at the Pizzeria, Susan tries to set her wedding caterer up on a date and Mrs. McCLuskey has an accident. But what is she up to?
