You may think that award shows are a chance for celebrities to indulge in caviar and champagne, but not for Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) when she recently attended the SAG awards with boyfriend Tony Parker.

"Tony surprised me," said Longoria on an appearence on Regis & Kelly. "He had a game in Utah, so I was going with my publicist to the SAG awards, and I was about to walk out the door and there's Tony in a matching shirt to my dress, and he flew in and surprised me. He had a game the next day, you have to fly with the team, and he asked the coach if he could surprise me and he said yes. It was so sweet."

But Parker's surprise visit meant that he hadn't had time to eat. "It was so funny because Tony hadn't eaten all day," she said. "He flew in the morning, got ready in LA then surprised me. So we left to the awards and he was starving so we stopped at Subway. Like in my gown, and in his thing, and we stopped at Subway and ate there for like thirty minutes because we were too early."

The Desperate Housewives cast won the award for best comedy ensemble, and Longoria said she was happy to get a trophy. "When we win the Golden Globe, only the producers get it," she said. "When we win the Emmy, only the producers get it. But the SAG awards, we all get one, so it's really fun. Those awards are so heavy, they're about 15lbs [7kg]. So heavy."
