Now that Rex Van De Kamp has been laid to rest (more or less), Steven Culp is keeping busy with the silver screen. After finishing a horror movie recently, the ex-Desperate Housewives star has signed on to a kids' movie.
According to Totally Steven, Culp has joined the kids' film Firehouse Dog. According to a producer of the film, Michael Colleary, "The story centers on Rexxx, Hollywood's most in-demand canine star. After getting lost, the divalike dog is adopted by a down-on-its-luck firehouse. Rexxx teams with a 12-year-old boy to turn the scrappy firehouse into the city's finest."
As well as a Rexx, the movie strangely enough also has a Bree. Due for release in 2006, Zap2it said the movie will also start Bree Turner. She has starred in The Wedding Planner and Bring It On Again, and joins Josh Hutcherson, Bruce Greenwood and Dash Mihok.
Meanwhile Totally Steven reported that shooting wrapped on Black Christmas. A re-make of the 1974 film of the same name, in it "co-eds are terrorized by an obscene phone caller with a bloody agenda over Christmas break" according to the IMDb.
