Desperate Housewives will add two new characters in the season finale this month, and echoing the introduction of the Applewhites at the end of season two they will apparently be "pivotal" to the stories of season three.
According to Back Stage, Julie White will play a character that has a connection to Orson, the dentist that Susan Mayer met in a cinema in a recent story, while Kiersten Warren will "be a wrench in Lynette and Tom's marriage."
Primarily a TV actress, 44 year-old White's TV roles include Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , Rescue Me and Six Feet Under where she played the ruthless businesswoman Mitzi Dalton-Huntley. Her film roles include bit parts in War of the Worlds and What Women Want.
While Warren has had a few TV roles, including a guest spot on The West Wing, she has mostly stuck to the big screen and has appeared in 13 Going On 30, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood and Independence Day.
The 2-hour season finale "Remember" is set to air May 21 on ABC.
