In the twenty second episode of season three, a trip to the hospital leaves Susan in shock.

Get Desperate! sources revealed that Susan will go in hospital for a minor injury, but after being x-rayed her doctor finds something that concerns them. He is reluctant to give Susan details on what he fears, not wanting to alarm her without further tests, but Ian —being a doctor—points out that it could be cancer. The doctor insists Susan have a biopsy, leaving Susan with a worrying wait.

Elsewhere, Edie is up to no good again. With Mike moving out of his rented house, the old lady who owns it is prepared to let Carlos remain there and rent it instead. However Edie, doing her good deed for the day, decides to tell the lady about Carlos's alcohol problems and predilection for prostitutes. She couldn't by any chance want Carlos to be homeless and in need of a bed for the night, could she?

Also in the episode, Gabrielle continues to plan for her wedding.
