- Rumors are flying around that Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) has parted company with her beau Tony Parker. "Eva and Tony are going through a very difficult time right now, just like any other couple with extremely demanding careers," a spokesperson for Longoria said, according to MegaStar. New York Post has since joined in and accused Parker of cheating on Longoria with an ex-girlfriend. Perhaps all this talk of babies from 31-year old Longoria scared 24-year old Parker off, but whatever the reason expect lots of news stories with the word 'desperate' in the title to surface on this one. Amazingly, even the North Korea Times was interested and said that Longoria avoided the press at a recent event as she didn't want to talk about the alleged split.
- Phillip Swann has once again written a "best and worst" list of celebrities and how they look on high definition TV. Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer) has fallen from #1 last year to #3 on the worst list this year, but his attack on the actress is no less harsh. "She's so thin that she could pass as a mother of four in Darfur. Because her body weight is so low, her skin is too tight on her frame. When she makes a facial gesture, the veins on her forehead pop out like they're auditioning to play the Monster in the next Alien movie." He said "her age is not the problem", but once again (with the odd exception) his lists reads as a young vs old battle. The collective age of the "worst" list is 524 years, with the "best" list weighs in at 324 years, and he lambasts 77-year-old Barbara Walters's face for having "more lines than a Manhattan sidewalk." His best list is once again mostly compromised of young, pretty girls and does include L'Oreal model Eva Longoria. "Eva is still a sight to behold. And that's not the only thing I would like to 'be holding'" he salivated. But do we need a HDTV expert to tell us that a 31-year-old model is going to look less wrinkled than a 77-year old woman?
- But Teri Hatcher doesn't think she has a problem, and has vowed to stay sexy according to Mirror.co.uk. "I didn't expect to be a sex symbol at 40. But now that I find myself one, it's rather fun," she said.
- Avid horserider Nicollette Sheridan (Edie Britt) will attend a charity event at Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion, according to a press release at PR Newswire. Tickets are available for "an afternoon of great food, music by Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., an auction of one-of-a-kind items, and a chance to meet not only celebrities, but wild tigers, chimpanzees, and other creatures from The Wildlife WayStation." Money raised at the benefit will go to the WayStation, a sanctuary for injured and abused wild animals that is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Other attendees include Bill Maher, Dennis Hopper and Mickey Rooney.
- Eva Longoria found a squatter in her new house, according to IOL. "We walk in and there's beer cans everywhere and I'm like, 'What is this?'," she is quoted as saying. "And a guy comes down [the stairs] in, like, boxers and he's like, 'Oh crap..! I'm fixing the electricity.' He was a worker on the house that just decided to squat. There's nothing there, it's like an empty house... I was livid."
- Nicolette Sheridan has defended her decision (but why did it need defending?) to sell her lingerie on shopping channel QVC, according to BreakingNews.ie. "It means I can connect with the audience who are buying the goodies. There is no shame in it. I'm totally thrilled with it all."
- Extra said that Dougray Scott (Ian Kavanaug) is dating CSI: New York's Claire Forlani.
