Brenda Strong (Mary Alice Young) will appear in the latest National Lampoon's movie, The Last Guy on Earth.

According to the movie's official website, the film focuses on JJ, a "slacker landscaper" who is getting cold feet about his impending marriage. But when he is knocked unconscious, he wakes to find he is the only male left on earth and every female has a plan for him.

It isn't known what Strong's role will be, but she is joining a large cast of well-known actresses. According to the IMDb, other names attached to the project include Liz Hurley, Whoopi Goldberg, Yasmine Bleeth, Kathy Bates and Shelley Long. The movie's website says they have experienced some delays due to Hurricane Katrina, but are attempting to stay on course for their 2006 release date.

Meanwhile Strong's The Work And The Glory (story) has now got a release date. According to the movie's official website it will be in US theatres on October 21. And according to The Brenda Strong Homepage the premiere will take place in LA on October 13.

The third movie in the series, A House Divided, has also been announced. According to the The IMDb it will once again star Strong.
