Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer) recently appeared on CBS's Late Show with David Letterman, and talked about her life on and off the Desperate Housewives set.

"They're terrific," Hatcher told host David Letterman when he asked how things were on the show (via the Teri Hatcher Website). "Contrary to all the rumors we actually all get along really great." Hatcher agreed with Letterman's view that when a show is doing well people want to pretend things aren't going great. "Yeah, the truth is boring ... the only conspiracy is really that I bake a lot, and people hear that I bake cookies and banana bread and stuff for the girls. And they think that I'm being nice, but I'm really just trying to make everybody else fat!"

Letterman went on to quiz Hatcher about her love life, and how she admitted previously that she'd not had sex in quite a long time. Hatcher revealed that the interview came back to haunt her. "I talk really too much," she said. "I was at the DMV and I was getting my [driving] license renewed. And there was a woman there, Pam, who was helping me get in and out quickly, and I said to her I really appreciate it because I have to go to the doctor, and if I don't get to the doctor I won't get my new prescription for birth control pills. And she goes, 'Well what do you need that for, you don't have sex anyway?'" Letterman questioned whether it was wise to share the birth control information with Pam, and Hatcher concurred. "That's what I'm saying! I bring it on myself!"

Hatcher was reluctant to be drawn on details of her sex life, but did talk a bit about dating. "I want to, I don't want to," she said. "Mostly I'm fine, I just have a busy, full, satisfied life except when I see one of those romantic sort of sappy [movies] ... then I really realize how pathetic and lonely I am. So mostly I just see horror films."
