Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis) has reportedly signed a $1.9m contract to be the new face of L'Oreal.

The deal means the actress will now appear in publicity for the cosmetics company, potentially covering TV and print, reported UK tabloid The Sun (via contactmusic.com). She will be the latest in a line of famous faces to promote L'Oreal; previous stars to feature include singers Natalie Imbruglia and Beyonce Knowles, and Friends actress Jennifer Aniston.

If Knowles' contract is anything to go buy, not a lot of work will be required. Knowles' payment was higher than Longoria's, but she still only had to do ten days work a year for L'Oreal.

An official announcement is expected later this week about Longoria's appointment.

Meanwhile, Longoria has spoken to Maxim magazine (via the Irish Examiner) about her her requirements in a man. "My only rule is that I have to date a guy who likes sports. There's something so sexy and masculine when guys rattle off names and statistics. I can listen to them all day long. But if a guy doesn't love boxing, that's grounds for a break-up."
