By Antony July 3, 2005 - 8:08 PMAt the end of season one, Felicia Tilman was rushed to hospital after being attacked with a hockey stick by Zach Young. The actress that plays her, Harriet Sansom Harris, is unsure whether her character will return for season two.
"I can't say whether or not Felicia will survive," she told The Cape Codder. "I'm worried, though, because she was taken to that hospital that no one seems to come home from," she said, referring to the deaths of Juanita Solis and Rex Van De Kamp. But she is hopeful that she will get to return to the Desperate Housewives sets. "Felicia's a great character, though, so I really hope she makes it. But who knows what will happen?"
Tilman was full of praise for the show and its creator Marc Cherry. "[He] is extremely talented and loyal," hse said. "He also knows what he likes. Housewives is an extremely well-written and funny show. It tells intriguing stories and has just enough of a larger-than-life quality for people to really enjoy it. It also pretty accurately reflects people's self-absorption."
While in hiatus, the actress has taken the opportunity to star in R. Gurney's The Dining Room at the Cape Playhouse—her first appearance there in 24 years. Talking about the play, she said: "The stories weave in and out of the same dining room, from probably the late 1800s to the present. Each scene represents a high point in these people's lives. The play is about the loss of togetherness that came when people stopped regularly gathering in the dining room and also the loss experienced when family and friends no longer stop by to visit."
