Desperate Housewives built on last weeks' ratings, helping take ABC to a clear Sunday night victory. But Grey's Anatomy proved again that it is the new jewel of the Sunday lineup.
According to figures released by Zap2it, "Everybody Says Don't" scored a 13.7 rating with a 21 share. These figures mean that of all households in the United States with television sets, 13.7% were tuned into DH, as well as 21% of those households actually watching television on Sunday at 9:00pm.
That was up from last week's 13.5/20 but it was up against less competition this week. CBS aired a re-run of Cold Case coming second in the hour and NBC came third with a re-run of Law & Order: Criminal Intent
Grey's Anatomy was also up against re-runs, but with its 14.0/22 score it once again was the most watched program of the night. This is the four consecutive new episode of Anatomy to build on Housewives' ratings—Housewives now seems to be stuck playing second fiddle to the show it helped launch.
ABC averaged 10.0/16 for the evening, leaving CBS with 6.9/11 and NBC 4.8/8. Fox and The WB trailed behind.
