Edie Britt is more than just a man-eater, Nicolette Sheridan said in an interview recently.
"I love Edie for how straightforward and unapologetic she is," she told Television Point. "How she feels is how she behaves. I think she's very smart, which in the last episode, I think the audience is starting to see. She doesn't miss a trick. And she's had a difficult life, but she is tenacious, and she is a force to be reckoned with. I try to relate to her honesty, strength and thought process. I do not have as many men in my life, nor do I care to have. That’s basically it."
But Sheridan isn't a housewife, and doesn't see herself as desperate. "You know, I've always lived my life categorically taking steps to make things better. So when things have been thrown at me, instead of feeling desperate, I've looked at and approached whatever has been thrown at me in a way to change it. So I'm really not a person who lives in a desperate place or ever has. I'm a fighter and a go-getter."
Sheridan, who starred in Knots Landing, will appear in a CBS reunion special. But due to previous commitments, she will be in separate segments of the program reported Sun-Sentinel. Joan Van Ark, who starred on Knots Landing, compared her program to Desperate Housewives, recalling a scene where the two shows were similar. "Felicity Huffman [Lynette Scavo] sat by a goalpost on a soccer field. Then Teri Hatcher [Susan Mayer] and Marcia Cross [Bree Van De Kamp] joined her to comfort her. That was pure Knots, the connection between women and sisterhood. It's why I so adore Desperate Housewives. It's women coping, coping, coping." Michelle Lee, who also starred in the show, meanwhile called Sheridan "a slut" for some reason.
